ICT Trainer & University Teaching Assistant
As a university associate teaching professor in the IT related fields but also as an IT corporate trainer, the MTA certifications I obtained (along with others) acted as an external “stamp” to prove my knowledge in the field I teach and train. MTA certifications also helped me in better understand the Microsoft products. These certifications showed me the career path I would like to follow in the future. I plan on becoming an MCTS, with special emphasis on infrastructure.
I am constantly recommending MTA certifications to all my students and trainees. MTA helps you understand the basics about IT world, in any IT career path (software development, databases or infrastructure).

I believe that my MTA certification has helped me greatly in my education. I studied C# vigorously in high school to prepare myself for the MTA exam. While learning the language of C#, I discovered my passion for Computer Science. I took this passion and chose to declare my major as Computer Science when I applied for college. I have an introductory Computer Science class and thanks to my MTA certification, the work has been delightfully easy.
I would recommend MTA certification to anybody. Any certification makes the career-search more fruitful and easier. I believe that everyone should have some kind of experience in Information Technology and/or Computer Science. Obtaining a certification may unlock doors for people that they did not know existed. A certification may be all someone needs to discover their love for technology. It will also be a great asset to have in the future.

The Microsoft Technology Associate certification has helped me get a better understanding of my knowledge. It also has provided me a way to give proof to other professionals or education institutions of my skills and accomplishments. MTA also secured me an internship at a company named Priva in the Netherlands, where I worked for a period of six months. When I applied for the internship, there were three other competitors for the same position.
I would definitely recommend considering the Microsoft Technology Associate exam in order to get a certification. It has helped me and it can also help them with their career development.

I completed the Security Fundamentals MTA certification after completing a Security+ course and reinforced my confidence in my ability to adequately secure a computer system. I also completed the MTA cert for Windows® Operating System Fundamentals only halfway through my training course. Obtaining both of these certifications show determination to excel in the emerging IT field. I know having these and other MTA certifications will increase my marketability.
I would highly recommend any IT technician interested in being certified to complete the MTA certs. Completing an MTA cert helps prepare you for additional certifications. They are a good stepping-stone to build on. They also provide a good assessment of your understanding of the fundamentals of the aspects of different IT areas of expertise.

I was a full time student at community college where I was offered these certifications for free. I was able to secure a very well paying position WITHOUT even graduating. I still continue to take night classes and work full time 8-5. These certifications showed my employer that I could do the job, even without having a degree. Because they were offered by community college I was more willing and eager to take them. I’m very glad I did!
I recommend these certifications to anyone in the IT field. I was told after I was hired these are what set me apart from other applicants. That is living proof that these will help you stand out above the rest.

I feel as though the MTA has altered my path tremendously as it relates to my career path in IT. It adds so much to a resume, and shows incentive outside of what’s normally expected. I hope my MTA certification shows that I care about my career and am interested in branching out my skills not just in Microsoft, but in other areas of IT. My ultimate lesson is to never stop trying to add to my education.
Absolutely I would recommend MTA!! I would recommend it to anybody interested in the field of IT to consider the MTA. The certification is a show of persistence in furthering your education and being the best you can be in your job.

Information Systems Technician
After spending most of my career in IT, I opened a business in a different industry. I closed that business in the economy downturn and wanted to return to IT. After being absent from the IT industry for a few years, I realized I needed to update my skills. MTA certifications were a great way to do this. I am currently utilizing new skills and acquiring new knowledge with my internship.
Yes, I recommend MTA certifications as a great introduction to the IT field and a refresher for anyone who has no prior certifications.
